Golf in the City of Kwinana

Perth's industrial south still finds room for two public 18-holers, and both play through native bush. Kwinana Golf Club in Calista is the more polished: a par-73 parkland test in native woodland lined with towering marri, tuart and other eucalypts, with surprising elevation changes, immaculate fairways and fast, pure greens. It welcomes the public as well as members, and a clubhouse verandah overlooks the finishing holes. Marri Park in Casuarina is a par-72 daily-fee course that plays host to a number of social clubs, enjoyable rather than punishing, with long, often dog-legged fairways and bunkers both mid-hole and around the greens. Conditioning there is more variable, but the tavern alongside makes it an easy social round.
