About the course
Parkland golf on the banks of Lake Albert, with views to match the round
Wagga Wagga Country Club is a public 18-hole parkland course set along the banks of Lake Albert at Lake Albert, New South Wales. Playing to a par of 73 over 5,588 metres, it was designed by Dan Soutar and J.C. Sheekey and established in 1930. On-site facilities include a pro shop, clubhouse, restaurant/dining, cart hire and parking.
Set along the scenic edge of Lake Albert, the course is widely regarded as one of the better country layouts in the Riverina, with a reputation for manicured fairways and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Visitors consistently praise the clubhouse experience and lakeside dining, where the food, service and water views earn especially warm reviews. Staff are often singled out as friendly and accommodating, both around the course and in the eatery. As with any working country club, occasional course maintenance such as green renovations is worth checking ahead of a visit. Overall the impression is of a picturesque, hospitable club that pairs an enjoyable round with a memorable view.
