About the course
Parkland golf by the Georges River, designed by Bob Harrison
Brighton Lakes Golf Club is a daily-fee parkland course in Moorebank, New South Wales, set along the banks of the Georges River. Designed by Bob Harrison and established in 2019, this section plays 11 holes to a par of 41 over 3,664 metres, with 19 mapped bunkers in play. Notable holes include the 3rd, where a lake is strategically positioned, the 2nd as the first of six par 3s, and a long par-4 11th. Facilities include a driving range, pro shop, restaurant and dining, clubhouse, cart and club hire, coaching, and parking.
Pitched as fun yet challenging for professionals, beginners and everyone in between, the course pairs a riverside parkland setting with strategically placed water and bunkering. The architecturally designed clubhouse is a clear highlight, with visitors regularly praising the relaxed, friendly atmosphere and the sweeping views over the course and lake. The dining experience draws plenty of attention too, with many enjoying the food and the venue's appeal for events and post-round gatherings, though feedback on flavour and service can be mixed. Overall, the reputation is of a welcoming, well-presented spot where the round, the views and the social side all come together.
