About the course
Parkland golf in a Gold Coast nature sanctuary at Pimpama
Gainsborough Greens is an 18-hole parkland course in Pimpama, at the northern end of the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. Designed by Fred Bolton and established in 1990, the course is surrounded by 230 hectares of natural bushland with a fauna and flora sanctuary, and hosted the Queensland PGA in 1991, 1992 and 1993. It operates on a daily-fee basis and offers a driving range, putting green, pro shop, restaurant and dining, cart hire, coaching and parking.
Players consistently praise the course's condition, describing well-maintained greens and grounds that reflect genuine care for presentation. Its setting against lush natural surroundings and resident wildlife gives each round a scenic, peaceful character that reviewers tend to single out. The clubhouse, dining and on-course touches such as roving marshals and drinks buggies add to its reputation as a comfortable venue for casual rounds, charity days and corporate events. Feedback on customer service and some upkeep details around tee areas is more mixed, but the overall impression remains that of an attractive, enjoyable parkland layout.
