About the course
Tough, tree-lined parkland in the Dandenong foothills, set on 48 hectares
Eastwood Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-73 parkland course in Kilsyth South, Victoria, measuring 5,754 metres and set on 48 hectares in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges. Established in 1964, it is a daily-fee course with 39 mapped bunkers and undulating, hilly terrain. Notable holes include the short dogleg par-4 6th, which climbs to a small, hidden green; the long, up-and-down par-5 5th; and the deceptive par-4 3rd, where a creek runs the right side and ponds guard the left. Facilities include a driving range, putting green, pro shop, restaurant/dining, club hire and coaching.
Eastwood has built a strong reputation as one of the most challenging courses with public access in Melbourne's eastern suburbs. Players consistently describe it as tight, tree-lined and full of elevation changes, with fast, well-protected greens that reward a sharp short game and test the unwary. Conditioning earns frequent praise, with reviewers noting fairways and greens kept in excellent shape through the warmer months and holding up well even after heavy rain. Beyond the golf, visitors highlight a warm, welcoming atmosphere, easy online booking and a friendly clubhouse with attentive staff and dining. The overall impression is of a demanding but thoroughly enjoyable layout that appeals to golfers of all abilities.

Middle length par 4 to get your round underway. Dogleg to the left where your drive is required to be right of centre to ensure a clear shot at the green but be aware of the two fairway bunkers through the corner. Water short left and around the left of the green will keep you honest. The green slopes heavily from the back right to front left. Right greenside bunker makes for a tough up and down with 4 being a good way to start.
