About the course

Country parkland gem with city-class greens beneath towering gums

Greenbushes Golf Course is a public 9-hole parkland course on Greenbushes/Boyup Brook Road in Western Australia, just north of Stannifer Road, established in 1960. Stretching over 6,000 square metres, it winds amongst towering gum trees and local vegetation, with nine grass greens maintained year-round. Fairways are lush through winter and dry and hard in summer, while spring brings wildflowers across the course. Facilities include a driving range, restaurant/dining and parking.

This unpretentious country club enjoys a reputation that punches well above its size, with visitors regularly describing the experience as a pleasant surprise. The grass greens draw the most consistent praise, often singled out as immaculately kept and rivalling far larger city courses, while the open, gum-lined layout is seen as a genuine test of shot-making. Players note the seasonal swing in conditions, with the fairways playing lush in winter and dry but still enjoyable in the summer heat. Much of the warmth in its reputation comes from the friendly, volunteer-run atmosphere and famously low-key value, frequently highlighted as part of the charm. Overall it leaves the impression of a welcoming, well-tended little gem worth supporting.
