Golfing in District Council of Tumby Bay
Farmland and coast on southern Eyre Peninsula frame three public 18-holers, all of them relaxed, affordable country golf. Tumby Bay Golf Club is the longest at par 73, a seaside-town course whose fairways come up very well once watered, though visitors mention scrape-style greens rather than grass, in keeping with its laid-back character. Port Neill Golf Club is the coastal option, a par-72 course with views over the nearby coastline and an unpretentious, links-style feel. Cummins Golf Club at Yallunda Flat plays to par 70 and is the most memorable of the three for its creek, which winds through the layout and is crossed by several bridges, adding challenge to a friendly round that also suits a family outing.
