Golfing in Shire of Gingin

Gingin's golf is all in its seaside towns north of Perth, and all of it is public. Lancelin Golf Club is the pick, a 1980 Jock Borthwick design that plays as a links through natural dunes south of the townsite, with sand greens, elevated tees, a testing blind par 3 and sweeping Indian Ocean views; volunteers keep it in fine shape, and it hosts the Lancelin Open Golf Classic each August. Ledge Point Golf Club sits right in the middle of its townsite, a par-72 country 18 with a clubhouse much loved for its dining. Guilderton's par-68 nine-holer dates from 1971, a relaxed course with footgolf alongside that rewards accuracy over length and suits a social round with friends.
