Golfing in Shire of Harvey
Two public 18-hole, par-72 layouts cover the Shire of Harvey, which runs from its namesake town into Bunbury's northern suburbs. Bunbury Golf Club, established at Clifton Park in 1948, is the stronger test: a well-wooded parkland course between the Collie River and the Leschenault Estuary, with narrow fairways, slopes and large, undulating greens that run fast. Estuary and ocean glimpses and kangaroos along the fairways add to the setting, and visitors are welcome on a daily-fee basis. Harvey Golf Club at Uduc serves the town of Harvey, with a club history running back to 1930. It is idyllic country golf on reticulated fairways and grass greens, kept to a high standard and an easy recommendation for green-fee players passing through.
