About the course
Affordable country golf among the Northern Rivers wetlands
Casino Golf Club is a public 18-hole, par-72 course measuring 5,324 metres in Casino, New South Wales, established in 1905. The layout features around 20 mapped bunkers and sits in the Richmond Valley of the Northern Rivers region, backing onto local wetlands and close to the Northern Rivers Rail Trail. Facilities include a pro shop, clubhouse, restaurant/dining and cart hire.
This long-standing country club is widely regarded as an affordable, welcoming stop, with visitors often rating it among the better rural courses they've played. Players frequently describe a challenging layout of narrow fairways, longish par 3s and bunkers guarding undulating greens, and the course is regularly praised as being in good condition. Some have noted that on-course signage and navigation can be confusing, while the pro shop staff earn consistent mention for being friendly and helpful. Off the course, the clubhouse and its Mun Tien kitchen draw repeated praise for well-priced, generous meals, a good range of beer on tap, and a relaxed social scene complete with raffles and regular entertainment. The overall impression is of a classic, easygoing country golf club that's well worth a visit.
