Golfing in Richmond Valley Council
Richmond Valley's golf is honest Northern Rivers country golf, with all three courses open to the public along the Richmond River between Casino and the coast. Casino Golf Club, dating from 1905, is the full 18-hole country course of the three, a par-72 layout backing onto wetlands where narrow fairways, longish par 3s and bunkers guarding undulating greens keep it more demanding than its modest length suggests. Woodburn-Evans Head serves the river and coastal communities with a tree-lined parkland course of contoured greens, and koalas and wallabies are regular spectators. Coraki is a flat nine-holer with 18 tees that can be more testing than it looks, and its friendly clubhouse makes it an easy stop for visitors looking for genuine value.
