About the course
Modern links by the Kedron Brook, part of a 36-hole Brisbane complex
Nudgee Golf Club is a private parkland course in Nudgee, Queensland, established in 1930 and located around 16 kilometres from the Brisbane CBD, adjacent to Nudgee Beach and the Moreton Bay foreshores. This 18-hole layout plays to a par of 69 over 6,331 metres and features 53 mapped bunkers. The wider site is a 36-hole golfing complex comprising two 18-hole courses: The Kurrai, a championship course to the West, and The Bulka, a modern links-style course to the East bordered by Kedron Brook. Facilities include a driving range, putting green, pro shop, coaching, cart and club hire, restaurant/dining and parking.
As a long-established club approaching its centenary, Nudgee carries a strong sense of golfing heritage alongside its recent course redevelopment. Players note its handy proximity to Brisbane and the cooling breezes that drift in off nearby Moreton Bay, while the clubhouse terrace and dining draw visitors beyond just golfers, with passing cyclists on the adjacent bikeway stopping in for coffee and a bite. Impressions of the on-course experience are more mixed: some appreciate the layout and setting, while others have flagged green-fee value, signage and course conditioning—particularly during maintenance periods such as sanding work—as areas where expectations weren't always met. As a private club, prospective visitors may want to confirm access and competition arrangements ahead of a round.
