Palmer Colonial Golf Course

Public resort golf winding through eucalyptus, lakes and waterways on the Gold Coast

Palmer Colonial Golf Course is a public, 54-hole layout in Robina, Queensland, with a total par of 207 and a combined length of around 18,238 metres. Designed by Mitsuaki Kobayashi and established in 1992, it routes through native eucalyptus, lakes and waterways, with roughly 80 mapped bunkers across the course. Facilities include a pro shop, restaurant and dining, a clubhouse, cart hire and parking.

Set among towering eucalyptus, picturesque lakes and serene waterways, the course is built as a meandering championship resort layout where water is very much in play. Many visitors find it a pleasant, fun and relatively flat round that is easy to book even at busier times, with good pace of play and amiable staff. Opinion on conditioning, however, is sharply divided: some report the greens and fairways in good shape, while others feel the course and its bunkers have grown tired and weedy and fall short of the price point. The reputation, in short, is of an enjoyable, water-laced layout whose upkeep can vary depending on when you visit.
