About the course
Friendly 1908 country parkland course with watered fairways and grass greens
Kerang Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-71 public parkland course measuring 5,616 metres in Kerang, Victoria, about 2km east of town on the Kerang-Koondrook Road. Originally opened in 1908 as a 12-hole layout, the course moved to its present site in 1957 and its sand greens were progressively replaced with grass greens by 1967, with flood irrigation upgraded to spray irrigation in 2006/7. The course features fully irrigated Santa Anna couch fairways and grass greens, and the club offers a driving range, pro shop, restaurant/dining, cart hire and parking.
Players consistently describe Kerang as a welcoming country course with an interesting layout that rewards careful planning and well-judged shot-making on many holes. The fairways and greens earn frequent praise for their condition, helped by the full irrigation across the property. Beyond the golf, the club is widely loved for its friendly locals and easygoing atmosphere, with visitors regularly highlighting the relaxed Friday social gathering and affordable drinks. Its reputation as an RV-friendly, peaceful spot for a quiet overnight stay also features strongly in reviews. The overall impression is of a great little country club where good golf and genuine hospitality go hand in hand.
