Golfing in Northern Areas Council
Where the Northern Mount Lofty Ranges run into the Southern Flinders, about 200 kilometres north of Adelaide, the golf is simple, public and unhurried. Jamestown Golf Club, out at Bundaleer North, is the full-sized option: an 18-hole, par-70 country course with the friendly, no-fuss feel of a small-town club, suited to golfers who just want a straightforward round. Laura Riverside Golf Club takes a different approach. Its nine holes sit in the town of Laura with a riverside, parkland character, and dual tees let it play as a complete 18-hole round to par 71, so visitors get a proper day's golf from a compact site. Neither will overwhelm a higher handicapper, and both make an easy stop for travellers heading through the district's farming towns.
