About the course
Friendly riverside parkland nine in the scenic Scenic Rim
Canungra Golf Course is a public parkland course in Canungra, Queensland, established in 1972. Set in the Scenic Rim, the layout is a 9-hole, 18-tee course that follows the course of the Coomera River, with the river creating water hazards on several holes. On-site facilities include a pro shop, restaurant/dining, cart hire, club hire and parking.
This relaxed, welcoming nine has built a reputation as an affordable and unhurried place to play, quieter than the busier clubs closer to the coast. Players consistently praise the scenic, riverside setting, the friendly and accommodating staff, and the genuine value for money. Many note that the layout offers a real test for all skill levels, with the wide fairways inviting bigger hitters and the par 3s rewarding accuracy. The course is generally described as well maintained and aesthetically beautiful, with the Coomera River winding through to provide both scenery and challenge, though some have found the grass a little long after heavy rain. With walks between some tee boxes, a round here doubles as a chance to take in the surrounding natural beauty.
