Golf in the Bellingen Shire Council area

Bellingen Shire's golf follows the road from the sea to the mountains on three public courses. At Urunga, near the town centre where the Kalang and Bellinger rivers meet the ocean, Urunga Golf Club is a relaxed riverside parkland course that suits every standard, with clubhouse views over both rivers to finish. Inland, The Loyal Bellingen Golf Club is a friendly nine-holer laid out along the Bellinger River at the edge of town, its green fairways framed by big trees and mostly narrow corridors that keep a social round interesting, and it is open seven days a week. Up on the Dorrigo Plateau, Dorrigo Golf Club dates from 1924 and plays as a nine-hole, par-64 course with bent grass greens and separate tees for each nine. Volunteers keep it running, and it packs more challenge than its size suggests.
