Golfing in Bundaberg Regional Council
Bundaberg's golf runs from coastal 18s to inland country nines, and all five courses are open to the public. Bargara Golf Club, dating from 1924, is a well-conditioned 18-hole coastal course with ocean outlooks and a clubhouse that suits a post-round meal. Coral Cove is the quirky one, playing 18 holes beside the Pacific with a split personality: links-style holes on one side, water carries on the other, plus a signature 2nd right beside the beach and a 600-metre par 6. Bundaberg Golf Club, five minutes from the city centre, is an 18-hole championship layout with wide, flat fairways, large greens and ponds full of birdlife. Inland, Gin Gin (1971) and the Isis club near Childers are nine-hole country courses, with tree-lined fairways at Gin Gin and volunteer-kept greens at Isis.
