Golfing in Naracoorte Lucindale Council
Two public 18-holers carry the golf across this stretch of the Limestone Coast, roughly 330 kilometres south-east of Adelaide, and both are country layouts worth building a trip around. Naracoorte Golf Club is the pick. Formed in 1927 with 32 foundation members, it opened its first nine in April 1928 and has grown into a par-72 parkland course on a rise above the surrounding flatlands, each hole framed by gums and other natives over gently rolling ground. It has earned a place among Australia's Top 100 Public Access courses, and the presentation of its greens and bunkers draws steady praise. Lucindale Country Club is quieter and fully watered, with bent grass greens, couch fairways lined with native trees and gentle undulation, plus a grassed campground with powered sites that makes it a natural stopover for golfing travellers.
