Golfing in Tatiara District Council
Tatiara's golf is a tale of two country towns on the Limestone Coast, each with a public 18-hole course. Bordertown Golf Club has the longer history, starting in 1905 with nine holes close to town before buying land for a full 18 in 1956. Today it is a par-71 parkland course with fully watered greens and fairways that stay green year round, framed by gums and native scrub where kangaroos and birdlife are regular company, and powered caravan sites make it easy to stay and play. Keith Golf Course is entirely volunteer-run and more compact at par 61, but its gently undulating ground, holes routed in different directions and a handful of doglegs keep a casual round interesting, and its watered greens are a highlight.
