Golfing in Loddon Shire Council
Loddon is country golf in its purest form: nine public courses spread across rolling hills, box-ironbark forest and farmland along the Loddon River, run by and for small communities. Pyramid Hill is the most distinctive, its 18 sand-greened holes wrapping around the base of the hill itself and open from April to September. Mitiamo is another well-kept sand scrape course, Boort is the longest layout at par 74, Bridgewater sits on the Loddon, and Inglewood is a tidily laid-out course whose clubhouse doubles as a function venue. Wedderburn, Korong Vale and Jarklin, a par-65 that values accuracy over length, fill out the 18-hole country ranks, and Tarnagulla is a nine-holer. Annual tournaments at Pyramid Hill, Wedderburn and a shared Inglewood-Boort event draw players from around the district.
